For Other Providers
Each provider has a similar flow:
- Click Configure or Connect
- Enter API credentials from the provider
- Test the connection
- Enable for checkout
See Payment Provider Setup for detailed instructions for each gateway.
Payment Gateway Status
Each connected gateway shows:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Connected | Successfully configured and ready |
| Not Connected | Not yet set up |
| Charges Enabled | Can process payments |
| Charges Disabled | Connected but cannot charge (needs verification) |
| Primary | Default gateway for checkout |
Setting Primary Gateway
Your primary gateway is the default payment method shown at checkout.
To change primary gateway:
- Find the gateway you want to make primary
- Click Set as Primary
- Customers will see this gateway first at checkout
TIP
Customers can still choose other enabled gateways. Primary just sets the default selection.
Copying Gateway Settings Between Stores
If you have multiple stores, you can reuse payment gateway connections:
- Click the dropdown arrow on Connect button
- Select Copy from another store
- Choose which store to copy settings from
- Configuration is duplicated instantly
This works for:
- Stripe accounts
- PayPal accounts
- Any provider using API credentials
Managing Connected Accounts
Viewing Account Details
For each connected gateway, you can see:
- Account Email: The email associated with the account
- Account ID: Provider's account identifier

Click Manage in [Provider] to:
- View detailed balance information
- See payout schedules
- Access transaction history
- Update bank account details

Disconnecting a Gateway
WARNING
Disconnecting a gateway prevents new payments through that provider. Existing subscriptions using that gateway will fail to renew.
To disconnect:
- Click Disconnect or Remove
- Confirm the action
- Existing transactions remain accessible
- No new payments can be processed
Understanding Balances
Where is My Balance?
Since payments go directly to your provider accounts:
- Stripe Balance: View in Stripe Dashboard
- PayPal Balance: View in PayPal.com
- Other Providers: Check each provider's dashboard
Pixlpay shows revenue summaries but doesn't hold balances.
Viewing Revenue in Pixlpay
While your actual balance lives in provider accounts, Pixlpay shows:
In Finance > Transactions:
- Total revenue (what customers paid)
- Estimated provider fees
- Net revenue estimate
- Revenue by gateway
- Revenue by product/date range
TIP
These are estimates for tracking purposes. Exact amounts and fees are in your payment provider dashboards.
Payout Management
How Payouts Work
Each payment provider manages its own payouts:
| Provider | Payout Schedule | Where Managed |
|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Daily (default) | Stripe Dashboard |
| PayPal | Instant to balance | PayPal.com |
| Razorpay | Automatic to bank | Razorpay Dashboard |
| Iyzico | Weekly | Iyzico Panel |
| Mollie | Daily/Weekly | Mollie Dashboard |
| Paystack | Next-day | Paystack Dashboard |
| Xendit | Same/Next day | Xendit Dashboard |
| Paymob | Weekly | Paymob Dashboard |
| CoinPayments | Manual | CoinPayments.net |
| Mercado Pago | Configurable | Mercado Pago |
| PayTR | Weekly | PayTR Panel |
Configuring Payout Schedule
Payout schedules are set in each provider's dashboard:
- Click Manage in [Provider]
- Navigate to Settings > Payouts
- Choose your schedule:
- Daily (most common)
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Manual
- Save changes
TIP
Daily payouts are recommended for steady cash flow. New accounts may have longer holding periods initially.
Payout Timeline
Typical timeline for Stripe (most common):
- Day 0: Customer pays
- Day 2: Available in Stripe balance
- Day 3: Automatic payout initiated
- Day 5-7: Funds in your bank account
Other providers have similar timelines, though some (like PayPal) offer instant balance access.

Running multiple payment providers gives you:
- Regional coverage: Local payment methods for each market
- Redundancy: Backup if one provider has issues
- Lower fees: Route to cheapest provider by region
- More payment methods: Cards, wallets, crypto, bank transfers
- Better conversion: Customers prefer familiar local methods
Recommended Setup by Region
| Your Market | Primary Gateway | Secondary Gateway |
|---|---|---|
| North America | Stripe | PayPal |

Each payment provider charges fees that go directly to them:
Customer pays: $100.00
Provider fee: -$3.20 (2.9% + $0.30)
You receive: $96.80Pixlpay charges zero transaction fees. All fees shown are charged by your payment provider.
Comparing Provider Fees
Fees vary by:
- Provider
- Payment method (cards vs bank transfer vs crypto)
- Card type (debit vs credit)
- Customer location (domestic vs international)
- Currency conversion
See Transactions for detailed fee breakdown by provider.
Pixlpay's Revenue Model
Pixlpay earns revenue from monthly subscription fees, not from your transactions:
- Free plan: $0/month
- Paid plans: Starting at competitive monthly rates
- See Pricing for current plans
This keeps our interests aligned - we want you to make more sales, not take a cut of them.
Security & Compliance
PCI Compliance
Payment security is handled by your payment providers:
- Card data never touches your server or Pixlpay's
- Providers are PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant
- Pixlpay doesn't store card numbers
- Tokens are used for saved cards

Troubleshooting
Gateway Won't Connect
Possible causes:
- Provider account not verified
- Incorrect API credentials
- Account in wrong region
- Provider account restricted
Solutions:
- Complete provider account verification
- Check API keys are correct (test vs live mode)
- Ensure account region matches your location
- Contact provider support for account issues
Charges Disabled
If your gateway shows "Charges Disabled":
- Click Manage in [Provider]
- Check for verification requirements
- Complete any pending items:
- Identity verification
- Business information
- Bank account verification
- Tax ID (if required)
- Wait for approval (usually 1-2 business days)
Payments Failing
If customer payments fail:
- Check gateway status is "Connected"
- Verify charges are enabled
- Check provider dashboard for errors
- Test with a test card/payment
- Review provider logs for decline reasons
Common reasons:
- Card declined by bank
- Insufficient funds
- Incorrect card details
- 3D Secure authentication failed
- Provider having technical issues
Missing Payouts
If expected payouts haven't arrived:
- Check payout schedule in provider dashboard
- Verify bank account details are correct
- Look for any holds or reserves
- Complete any pending verification
- Contact provider support
Balance Discrepancies
If Pixlpay revenue doesn't match provider balance:
- Pixlpay shows gross revenue (what customers paid)
- Provider shows net balance (after fees)
- Check date ranges match
- Account for refunds processed
- Currency conversion may affect amounts
