Account Settings
Manage your store owner account settings, including profile information, security features, and active sessions. Account Settings are separate from your store settings and apply across all stores you own or manage.
Overview
The Account Settings page provides centralized management for your personal account. This includes updating your name and email, changing your password, enabling two-factor authentication, and managing active sessions across devices.
Quick Access
Access Account Settings from the top-right menu in your dashboard or navigate directly to /store/account-settings.
Account Information
Update your personal account details that are used across all your stores.

| Name | Your display name shown in the dashboard | Required, used for team identification |
| Your account email address | Must be unique, used for login and notifications |
Updating Your Profile
- Navigate to Account Settings from the dashboard menu
- Under Account Information, update your name or email
- Click Save Changes
Email Changes
When you change your email address, you'll need to verify the new email before it becomes active. Check your inbox for a verification link.
Security Settings
Changing Your Password
Keep your account secure by regularly updating your password.
Password Requirements:
- Minimum 12 characters
- Must include uppercase letters (A-Z)
- Must include lowercase letters (a-z)
- Must include numbers (0-9)
- Must include symbols (!@#$%^&*)
Steps to change password:
- Under Change Password, enter your current password
- Enter your new password
- Confirm your new password
- Click Change Password

- Use a unique password not used on other sites
- Consider using a password manager
- Enable two-factor authentication for additional security
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security to your account using an authenticator app.
Supported Authenticator Apps:
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Microsoft Authenticator
- 1Password
- Any TOTP-compatible app
Enabling 2FA:
- In the Two-Factor Authentication section, click Enable
- Enter your current password to confirm
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
- Enter the 6-digit code from your app
- Save your recovery codes in a secure location
Recovery Codes
Store your recovery codes in a safe place. You'll need them if you lose access to your authenticator app. Each code can only be used once.
Disabling 2FA:
- Click Disable Two-Factor Authentication
- Enter your current password
- Enter a 6-digit code from your authenticator app
- Confirm the action
Session Management
Monitor and control active sessions across all devices where you're logged in.
Session Information
Each active session displays:

| Device Type | Desktop, mobile, or tablet icon |
| Device Name | Browser and operating system |
| IP Address | Connection IP address |
| Last Active | Time since last activity |
| Current Session | Highlighted badge for your current device |
Revoking Sessions
Revoke Individual Session:
- Find the session you want to revoke
- Click the X button on the right
- The device will be logged out immediately
Revoke All Other Sessions:
- Click Revoke All Other Sessions at the top of the session list
- All sessions except your current one will be logged out
- Those devices will need to log in again
When to Revoke Sessions
- You logged in from a public computer and forgot to log out
- You see unfamiliar devices in your session list
- You changed your password and want to log out all other devices
- A device was lost or stolen
Session Expiration
- Sessions automatically expire after 30 days of inactivity
- Active sessions remain valid as long as you use them
- Changing your password does not automatically revoke other sessions

Danger Zone
Account Deletion
Coming Soon
Account deletion is currently in development. When available, this will permanently delete your account and all associated stores.
What happens when you delete your account:
- All your stores will be permanently removed
- Customer data will be deleted according to data retention policies
- Active subscriptions will be cancelled
- This action cannot be undone
Troubleshooting
Email Verification Not Received
If you changed your email but didn't receive a verification link:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Wait 5 minutes and request a new verification email
- Ensure the email address was entered correctly
- Contact support if the issue persists
Password Change Failed
Common reasons password changes fail:
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Current password incorrect | Verify you entered your current password correctly |
| New password too weak | Ensure password meets all requirements (12+ chars, mixed case, numbers, symbols) |
| Passwords don't match | Verify new password and confirmation are identical |
Two-Factor Authentication Issues
Lost Access to Authenticator App:
- Use one of your recovery codes to log in
- Disable 2FA from Account Settings
- Set up 2FA again with your new authenticator app
Recovery Codes Lost:
- If you still have access to your authenticator app, disable and re-enable 2FA to generate new recovery codes
- If you've lost both your authenticator app and recovery codes, contact Pixlpay support
Unfamiliar Sessions
If you see sessions you don't recognize:
- Revoke the unfamiliar session immediately
- Change your password
- Enable two-factor authentication if not already enabled
- Review your recent account activity
- Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access
