Sell gift cards that customers can use as store credit.

How Gift Cards Work

1. Customer purchases a gift card
2. Gift card code is generated and emailed
3. Recipient uses code at checkout
4. Balance is applied to their order

Creating Gift Card Products

1. Go to Products > Add Product
2. Select Gift Card as product type
3. Configure options:

Fixed Value Gift Cards

Create gift cards with set amounts:

• $10 Gift Card
• $25 Gift Card
• $50 Gift Card
• $100 Gift Card

Custom Amount Gift Cards

Allow customers to choose the amount:

• Set minimum value (e.g., $5)
• Set maximum value (e.g., $500)
• Customers enter any amount in between

Gift Card Settings

Setting	Description
Expiration	Days until the gift card expires (0 = never)
Email Template	Customize the gift card email
Design Template	Visual design of the gift card
Personalization	Allow custom messages

Purchasing Gift Cards

Customers can:

• Buy for themselves (store credit)
• Send to someone else (enter recipient email)
• Add a personal message

Using Gift Cards

At checkout, customers:

1. Enter their gift card code
2. Balance is applied to the order
3. Remaining balance saved for future purchases

Partial Redemption

If a gift card has more value than the order:

• Full order amount is deducted
• Remaining balance stays on the card
• Customer can use the rest later

Multiple Gift Cards

Customers can apply multiple gift cards to a single order.

Managing Gift Cards

View All Gift Cards

Go to Marketing > Gift Cards to see:

• All issued gift cards
• Current balances
• Redemption history
• Expiration dates

Check Balance

Look up any gift card by code to see:

• Original value
• Current balance
• Transaction history
• Purchaser information

Disable Gift Cards

Disable a gift card to prevent further use:

• Suspected fraud
• Customer request
• Refund processed

Gift Card Emails

Purchase Confirmation

Sent to the buyer:

• Order confirmation
• Gift card details (if for themselves)
• Delivery notification (if sent to someone else)

Gift Card Delivery

Sent to the recipient:

• Gift card code
• Current balance
• How to redeem
• Personal message (if included)

Customizing Emails

Edit gift card email templates in Settings > Email Templates:

• Custom branding
• Store logo
• Personalized content
• Redemption instructions

Gift Card Reports

Track gift card performance:

Outstanding	Unredeemed gift card value
Redeemed	Total value redeemed
